Our International buying teams source and purchase the products from major city worldwide like Paris, Rome, London, New York, Warsaw, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, and curate our products in our international warehouse centralized in Hong Kong.

Our international warehouse is temperature-controlled and every single product is subject to quality control inspections and a meticulous packaging process.

As the news of coronavirus (COVID-19) is growing and evolving, the health and safety of our customers, community and employees are a top priority. Your shopping experience continues to be important to us and we are taking additional prevention measures at our international warehouse to address COVID-19 by:

  • Implementing consistent illness prevention protections which include wearing mask and gloves. Regularly cleaning and disinfecting of our warehouse and frequently touched surfaces (doorknobs, counters, etc.).
  • Performing daily temperature checks by security at main warehouse entry points.
  • Restricting forwarders and couriers to designated areas only, avoiding access into our warehouse.
  • Encouraging all workers to follow general illness prevention best practices by washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, covering coughs and sneezes with tissue, and avoiding touching the face, and minimizing person-to-person contact.

Customers receiving packages from Hong Kong are not at risk of contracting COVID-19. Based on previous analyses by the Center for Disease Control, we know coronavirus does not survive long on objects, such as letters or packages. We have not experienced delay in shipment to customers due to Coronavirus, and will be in contact should there be any delay with your order.

Due to increasing volume and the impact of COVID-19, we are experiencing delays in returns and refund processing. Our Customer Care is experiencing an increased volume of customer inquiries and calls, and wait times may be longer than usual.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

1. Where does Akira Beauty ship? Do you ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses?

Akira currently only ships within the U.S. At this time, we do not ship to P.O. Boxes, BFPO, APO/ FPO, or any other military addresses.

2. How do I track my order?

After your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number and link. If you have additional questions, you can reach us at [email protected].

3. When can I expect my delivery?

Akira Beauty orders ship from our international warehouse centralized in Hong Kong. Our delivery usually takes about 3-5 business days from the order date. Please note that delivery dates and days may vary according to public holidays.

4. What are your shipping methods?

Akira Beauty offers shipping via FedEx. Certain items considered hazardous materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation — such as pressurized spray cans, fragrance, or nail polish — can only be shipped via registered airmail. Restricted items may not be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii.

We aim to process and ship every order within 1-2 business days. Orders received Monday through Thursday will generally be processed the same day or the next business day. Orders received over the weekend or on major holidays will generally be processed during the following 1-2 business day(s). Please check the shipment tracking link in your shipping confirmation email for the latest shipping status.

We currently only ship within the U.S:

  • Flat Rate Shipping — free for orders over $80 USD
  • $18 for orders below $80 USD
  • Orders are normally shipped via FedEx
  • Estimated delivery time is 3 - 5 business days.
5. What is a split shipment?

Shipping restrictions for certain international orders require that packages may not be over 3.90 pound. When Akira Beauty ships these orders, we will split those that weigh over 3.90 pounds into two separate shipments that are mailed together. (For example, a 6.60-pounds order will be split into two boxes, one weighing 3.90 pounds and the other weighing 2.20 pounds.)

6. What is your delivery schedule?

For orders that ship from our warehouse in Hong Kong to U.S. addresses, our fulfillment time is typically 1-2 business days, and the subsequent shipping time takes between 3-5 business days.

Orders received between Monday and Thursday are usually processed the same day or the next business day. Orders received on weekends or public holidays are usually processed during the following 1-2 business days.

The time frame here is provided for reference only. Since the processing time of local postal services vary, Akira Beauty cannot guarantee your exact delivery date. Depending on the destination country, your order may be delayed by customs clearance.

7. Do I need to pay sales tax or customs duties?

Your “total” cost displayed at checkout is not inclusive of additional taxes and duties. Some geographic locations may require the recipient to pay extra for clearance and/or duties. Akira Beauty has no control over these customs regulations.

In the event that your order is charged taxes or other additional charges, you are responsible for all expense occurred, which is not refundable.

If parcel is returned due to the custom issue (e.g. unpaid Duties & Taxes), we will deduct the original shipping charge and the return shipping charge before refund.

8. What is your return policy?

Need to make a return?

Akira Beauty accepts returns received within 30 days of the original shipping date. Items must be returned unused, undamaged, and unopened in their original packaging. The original shipping charge, if any, is not refundable.

Fragrances are final sale and cannot be returned unless defective.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for fragrances unless the item you purchased is defective. If you receive a defective item, please contact us at [email protected] with details of the product and the defect, and an image of the defective product.

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a refund or a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price, using the original method of payment.

Making returns with Akira Beauty is simple with the below easy steps:

1) Email our customer service department at [email protected] to request a Return Authorization from our customer service team. Please do not ship out any returns without return request. If return without prior notice, 50% of total order value handling fee will be charged.

2) Upon receiving the return approval via email, simply include your Packing Slip from your shipment along with the product(s) in a securely sealed package.

Akira Beauty reserves the right to refuse returns under the following conditions.

Product is:

  • Opened or broken
  • A promotion or best value item
  • Listed as final sale, non-refundable/non-exchangeable
  • Returned more than 30 days after the original shipping date

Refunds will be credited to the account used for the original purchase. Akira Beauty is not responsible for the shipping cost of the return.

9. Are there restocking fees?

No. If you decide to return your items, you will not be charged any restocking fees.

10. Can I exchange my purchase?

Akira Beauty does not offer exchanges at this time. It will be treated as return order. Customer need to place a new order for the item.

11. What do I do if an item is damaged when I receive it?

Akira Beauty prioritizes making sure you’re happy with your purchase. If you have an issue with a leaked or damaged product, please keep the delivery box and all packaging and follow the instructions below. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

12. What do I do if there is a product quality issue?

13. I think my order is lost. What should I do?

The delivery time of the package is usually around 4-5 working days. Customers are encouraged to monitor shipment tracking until it is delivered. If you have not received your package, and you feel you should have, please contact [email protected] with your order confirmation number in the correspondence.

14. I entered the wrong address. Can this be fixed?

Once your order is placed, we cannot modify it. Please always make sure your shipping address and information is correct before placing your order.

15. Can I modify or cancel my order?

Once your order is submitted, it will be fulfilled and cannot be cancelled.

16. What is the purchase limit for the same item?

We no longer fulfill orders with 10 or more quantities of the same item.
